WP1

The objective of Work Package 1 is to prepare and incorporate a selection of approved models into the model repository. The models will be presented with their collection of appropriate metadata like data availability, model qualification and contextual information. This selection will cover therapeutic areas of diabetes, oncology and other diseases (schizophrenia, inflammatory and neurodegenerative disorders, pain, virology and generic safety). Representative models covering systems biology, PK-PD, disease progression, and clinical outcome (amongst others) relevant to the different stages in drug development will be considered.

Models will be integrated into the model repository and will be coded using the model description language. WP1 will provide a proof of concept for the model repository, languages and framework.

Main outcomes of WP1

  • Selection of relevant models in the therapeutic areas.
  • Encoded implementations of the models and a report of possible problems of consistency.
  • Implementation of the models into the model repository using DDMoRe’s ontologies and standards.
  • Proof the functionality of the model repository.
  • Dissemination of these models to the community.
